Hello, Sabina!

If you’re reading this, congratulations! You’ve successfully found the Village of Sabina’s website. That’s step one in community engagement, so you’re already ahead of the game.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Danielle Johnson, and I’m honored to serve as your Mayor. Unlike many of you who have deep roots here, I’m one of the rare transplants to Sabina. Born in Kettering and raised in Hilliard, I had never even heard of this village until my significant other and I stumbled upon it, bought a house, and made it our home. Since then, I’ve worked at Traditions, occasionally poured drinks at the Sabina Moose Lodge 1244, and served on Village Council since January 2024. In that time, I’ve come to appreciate what makes Sabina special—but also what we need to work on.

The Game Plan

Sabina has so much potential, and it’s time to tap into it. My priorities are simple but ambitious:

✅ Grants, Grants, and More Grants – If there’s free money out there with Sabina’s name on it, we’re going to try our best to get it!

✅ An Amazing Park – Kids deserve a fantastic place to play, and young families need another reason to settle here. Let’s make it happen.

✅ Infrastructure Upgrades – Water meters, water plant, sidewalks, streets you name it, it needs work.

Building a Stronger Sabina Together

If we want Sabina to thrive, we all have to show up. That means getting involved, taking pride in our village, and working together to build something great. I know change can be challenging, but it’s necessary for progress.

I’m incredibly optimistic about Sabina’s future. I believe in new ideas, fresh energy, and bringing this village together young, old, and everyone in between.

So let’s get to work. And if you see me around, say hello, bring me your ideas, and let’s make Sabina shine again.
